An Original Vintage Costume Design for The Nutcracker Ballet

I just adore this piece. I found it at an antique market in Cape Town and it appears to be a costume design for CAPAB (Cape Performing Arts Board) for the Nutcracker. 

It appears to be alcohol inks on Yupo paper, a wonderful medium for costume designing as it creates strong colour, patination and texture. 

To the rear are, what appears to be the names of the dancers who would wear the costumes.

This wonderful piece would look fantastic displayed in a creative space or indeed in many decorative schemes.
