Antique Sorrento Treen Crown with Swallows Glove Powder Pot

This is a lovely rare little piece by Sorrento. A hand turned wooden treen crown shaped powder box.

The shape made it possible for it to be used for powdering fingers to help ease them into their gloves as they were often very tight. 

H9.5cm Diameter 6cm.

Some age related splits due to the natural shrinkage of the wood but still a wonderful find.
