An Original London Underground Enamel Platform Station sign Putney Bridge
An Original London Underground Enamel Platform Station sign Putney Bridge
Rare to the market an original London Underground enamelled metal box sign salvaged from Putney Bridge Station during renovations in the 90’s. Sold at auction then purchased by myself where we had it in our London Flat. A move to the country means we no longer have the wall space for this impressive piece.
Condition is good for its age. Please see photos. We’ve added a removable wooden baton to assist with hanging. This sign is made of heavy, good quality metal and is unusual in that it is a boxed sign. That is because it was the main sign on Putney Bridge station and was actually set into the iconic ‘window’ of the original Victorian waiting room. See photos online.
