A stunning antique 19th Century French Miniature Vernis Martin Vitrine pocket watch box or jewellery display modeled as a Sedan chair featuring transfer decorated cherubs engaged in various pursuits, front and side panels inset with beveled glass, interior lined in faded red velvet and silk with metallic ribbon trim. The back has a brass hook for hanging a pocket watch or piece of jewellery.
