Bring a sense of rare Victorian enchantment to your festive décor with this extraordinary antique German spun-glass fan ornament, dating from around 1890–1910. At its centre, two beautifully printed Victorian angels sit nestled together upon a cloud, their gentle pastel tones and serene expressions capturing the poetic innocence of late 19th-century Christmas imagery.

Surrounding them is a magnificent fan of hand-drawn spun glass, radiating outward in a soft halo of shimmering fibres. This exceptionally fragile medium was produced only by specialist German makers during the late Victorian and Edwardian periods. Few examples remain intact today, making this a rare and highly desirable survival.

Below the angels, a delicate silver script spelling “A Merry Christmas” adds a refined touch of seasonal sentiment, completing the piece with elegant historic charm.

This ornament is further enriched by oral provenance linking it to Bletchley Park Museum, a delightful narrative detail passed on exactly as received, adding cultural depth to its already captivating story.

A truly exquisite piece for collectors of early Christmas decorations, lovers of Victorian ephemera, or anyone curating a refined and atmospheric festive display.
