Antique Peg Doll / Grodnertal Doll with Wicker Crib

A charming antique peg doll, also known as a Grodnertal doll, shown resting in her wicker crib with mattress and pillow. With her softly painted wooden face and delicate lace clothing, she has a gentle, quietly expressive character.

Made in the traditional Grodnertal style, this peg doll dates from around the turn of the 20th century. The crib and bedding sit beautifully with her and add a lovely sense of completeness, as these pieces are often lost over time.
