A beautifully preserved antique decorator's brush dating from the late Victorian to Edwardian period, featuring dense horsehair bristles, a substantial hardwood stock and an original copper ferrule.
Originally used for whitewashing, distempering or applying paste, this wonderfully tactile piece bears all the character of a lifetime's work. The aged horsehair bristles, rich patinated copper and worn timber create a striking decorative object that sits perfectly within rustic, primitive, country house and artist's studio interiors.
Retaining its original hanging cord, the brush displays beautifully on a wall, shelf or amongst a collection of antique tools and studio objects.
A genuine survivor from a bygone era, celebrating traditional craftsmanship and working life.
