A beautiful large antique French confiture pot featuring the classic blue transfer print “Confitures Nouvelles” (fresh preserves).
Dating to the late 19th century, this charming pot would originally have been used in a French kitchen for storing homemade jams and preserves. Its generous size, thick earthenware body, and soft white glaze give it wonderful authentic French farmhouse character.

Condition
Antique condition with age-related wear consistent with use. There is a long crack to the reverse, which does not affect the display from the front and a lighter one to the front. The pot still presents beautifully. Minor glaze wear and small imperfections typical of antique kitchen pottery are also present.
