A charming early French confiture pot featuring the classic blue transfer print “Confitures Nouvelles” (fresh preserves).

Dating to the late 19th century, this lovely pot would originally have been used in a French kitchen for storing homemade jams and preserves. Its thick earthenware body, soft white glaze, and delicate blue lettering give it wonderful authentic French farmhouse character.

Today it makes a beautiful decorative piece for a French country or farmhouse kitchen, perfect for display on open shelving, holding utensils, or simply adding rustic charm to a kitchen interior.

A characterful and increasingly sought-after piece of antique French kitchenalia.

Antique condition consistent with age and use. The pot has a few small chips to the rim and some glaze loss to the inside of the bowl, typical of well-used kitchen pottery of this age. These do not detract from its display appeal and it still presents beautifully.
