Vintage Haberdashery Satin Ribbon Three Deadstock Rolls

A wonderful collection of three substantial rolls of genuine vintage haberdashery ribbon, sourced from the surviving stock of an old traditional haberdashery shop which closed many decades ago.

The collection comprises two matching rolls of beautiful ivory satin trim, with a wonderfully substantial, luxurious handle, dense weave and softly lustrous surface. The fibre content is unmarked but, from its appearance and feel, is believed to be rayon.

The third roll is white satin ribbon and retains its charming original printed Swan backing, marked Swan, Quality 400, Single Faced Nylon Ribbon, 36 Yds, Made in Gt. Britain.

All three are lovely examples of unused old shop stock and have remained on their original rolls rather than being divided into short lengths.

Perfect for period dressmaking, bridal work, millinery, costume and textile projects, or simply for a collector of vintage haberdashery.

Genuine vintage shop stock, so there may be some minor age and storage marks. The ivory trim is believed to be rayon but has not been fibre tested.
