Victorian Ironstone “Butter” Crock – Antique Farmhouse Kitchenalia

A beautiful Victorian ironstone butter crock dating to the late 19th century.

Made from thick, heavy ironstone and finished with classic black “BUTTER” pantry lettering, this piece would originally have been used in a Victorian kitchen pantry for storing butter. Its simple typography and warm cream glaze give it timeless English country kitchen charm.

Today it makes a wonderful decorative and practical piece for a farmhouse-style kitchen, perfect for utensils, storage, or display.

Condition

Excellent antique condition for its age with no chips or cracks. The base shows traditional throwing rings from the pottery wheel, a characteristic of 19th-century manufacture.
