Vintage Wooden School Pencil Case with Roses

A charming old wooden school pencil case, dating to around the 1920s–40s, with a sliding lid decorated with pretty red roses and a simple wavy border.

Cleverly constructed with three sliding trays/compartments, including the upper section with its recessed finger pull. The lid retains old handwritten pencil marks and scribbles from a previous young owner — a lovely little trace of its original schoolroom life.

There is plenty of age-related wear, knocks and marks, all adding to its character.
